SUMMER CAMP FAQs

 

CAN I TRANSFER MY CAMP SESSION TO A DIFFERENT WEEK?

Yes, students may switch to another week of camp for free if there is room.  No transfers will be allowed after 12PM the Monday before your camp week. Contact us to inquire if a transfer into another week of camp is available.

 

MAY I CANCEL MY CHILD'S ENROLLMENT? WILL I RECEIVE A REFUND?

Updated (on 3/1/20)  In light of growing concerns surrounding COVID-19, we wanted to help ease any fears about summer planning by offering a flexible refund policy that allows families to have peace of mind in registering for our camps with freedom and flexibility.  With our updated refund policy, any registrations can be canceled without a fee up to 30 days before the first day of your camp.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE CAMP I WANT TO SIGN UP FOR IS FULL?

If your desired week of camp is already full, you can join the waitlist by emailing us at info@barnabasrobotics.com. There is no cost to join a waitlist, and no obligation to sign up once you’re on it.  If you have questions about a particular waitlist, just contact us.

 

DO I NEED TO PACK A LUNCH/SNACKS FOR CAMP?

Full-Day students must bring a packed lunch each day of camp.  (Half-Day students will be picked up before lunch time.)

All students are welcome to bring snacks for designated snack breaks (optional).

 

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FULL-DAY & HALF-DAY CAMPS?  

Half-Day students will join us only for the morning session and leave before lunch.  While half-day students don't participate in our afternoon build-sessions, they will not "fall behind" during camp since we save new lessons and introduce new robot parts during our morning sessions.  Our half-day students will, however, not have the opportunity to build quite as much as our full-day students given the shorter amount of time.  We generally recommend the half-day option for younger students and those who have difficulty sitting through a full-day of school.  For everyone else, we recommend the full-day program!

 

DO YOU OFFER EXTENDED CARE?

Yes, we offer extended care everyday from 2PM-6PM.  Signing up for extended care is a simple part of the camp sign-up process.  Campers may also be picked up earlier than 6PM on any day(s) as needed.
